Easter is right around the corner, so I've been working on some new Easter/Spring cupcake decorations, as well as a new cupcake flavor: Carrot Cake with cinnamon cream cheese frosting! I've never really been a big fan of carrot cake myself, but I must say these came out very moist and tasty:) Plus I love trying out new flavors (not to mention they are seasonally appropriate). Here are some of the decorated cupcakes that are available for orders:

So, it's starting to look like all I do are cupcakes for baby showers, haha. In the past 6 months I've had about 5 baby showers to make cupcakes for, each in different themes, and I've really loved how they've all come out. This past Saturday I had the largest order I've ever done - 120 cupcakes, with 3 flavors (vanilla, chocolate, and guava) and handmade fondant decorations in onesie, bib, and polka dot shapes. The mom-to-be rented a banquet hall for the occasion, and had cupcake stands made as centerpieces, which is where the cupcakes were displayed. It all came out really beautifully:) I took a few pictures of some of the cupcakes before I packed them up...but I will post the pictures from the shower as soon as I get them!

St. Patrick's Day

Happy St. Patricks Day! In honor of this fun, festive holiday I baked up some brand new cupcakes: Mint Dark Chocolate Chip! Its a dark chocolate cake, with mint and dark chocolate chips baked inside, topped with yummy mint buttercream. I then created some adorable St. Patricks Day fondant toppers to commemorate the occasion:

A closeup:

I also made some plain vanilla cupcakes that I dyed green (for the non-chocolate fans - yes they do exist). So the green cupcakes you see are the vanilla, but here's a closeup of the mint dark chocolate cupcake (which came out very rich and moist!)

Have a great St. Patrick's Day, and don't drink too much green beer!
